Introduction to Multiple Intelligences and Progressive Teaching Styles

Grade Level : Pre-K – 12
Length: 1 Hour to 7 Hours

Explore ways to reach and teach children who have a difficult time learning in traditional settings by identifying and addressing individual learning styles. This interactive workshop probes the most recent brain research to help teachers, counselors and administrators understand how the brain works. This session will help participants find ways to connect State Standards to the students they teach through varied learning styles.

Through active participation we will focus on recognizing and addressing children’s emotions to motivate communication, creativity and problem solving. This is not a lecture! This unique hands on approach to staff development immerses educators in activities that demonstrate Goleman’s Theory of Emotional Intelligence, Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences, Csikszentmihali’s Theory of FLOW and other research based theories.
